What is the Clarity Synch Service?
The Clarity Synch Service is an online service bureau that allows our users to send us video files to be synchronized with transcript testimony. This unique process takes an ascii text file and combines it with the video from the deposition. Once your files are synched you can then download them securely from our website and load them into Bundler™, DepoSmart™, or TrialSmart™.

I have some videotapes, can you digitize those also?
Yes, we can digitize video tapes. Our pricing is $35 per video hour to digitize and convert the tape to CD or DVD in MPEG1 or MOV format.

Is the Clarity Synch Service an application? Yes, Clarity Sync Service is a stand alone application for Windows and Mac OS X that allows users to send transcripts and video from DepoSmart or TrialSmart cases to Clarity Legal for synching.

What is Encoding and Synchronization?
Encoding is the process of converting deposition video tapes to digital format. Synchronization is the process of synchronizing the encoded video file with the deposition transcript. Synchronizing a video makes it easy to search and review transcript and deposition video, and create video clips that contain the relevant text.

What are the prices to have a video "synched? using your Clarity Synch Service?"
The pricing varies depending on how soon the user needs the files synched. Our pricing is listed below:

3 to 5 Day - $25 per video hour
48 Hour - $35 per video hour
24 Hour - $45 per video hour
Same Day - $95 per video hour

Note: An additional $15 per video hour will be added for foreign lanuage speaking deponents that required an interpreter.

Do you manually check the synched transcripts?
Yes, we manually check all synched transcripts before they go to our clients.

If I send you files to be synched using your Clarity Synch Service, how do I get the synched transcripts?
Once your project is finished, you will be sent an email containing a link, as well as a username and password to download your materials from our server.

What export formats does Clarity Synch Service provide?
Clarity Legal primarily provides formats in our proprietary format, Clarity Legal Transcripts (*.clt). However, we can provide other formats upon request

What format does my video need to be in order to synchronize to a transcript?
At Clarity Legal we can synchronize several different video formats however MPEG1 and QuickTime MOV are the most popular. We can also synchronize audio files in MP3 and WAV format.

I have several mini-dv tapes. Can you digitize and synchronize those?
Yes, we can digitize mini-dv tapes and synchronize them.
